The experience
Slow down. Feel the onda.
There is not much to do here, and that is the idea. Water, shade, plants and time to stop watching the clock.
Shared pool
Water as the meeting point
The pool is shared and sits at the centre of the house, surrounded by plants and shade.
Early on it is usually silent — the best time to swim. In the afternoon the shade arrives, and with it the long conversations.
Shared garden
Green all around
The garden is a common space: palms, big leaves and corners to sit with a book or a coffee.
We look after the plants every day. They are part of the house too.
A day at ONDA
- Morning
Coffee and still water
You wake with the light. The pool is empty. The village has not started yet.
- Afternoon
Shade and salt
Beach, an unhurried lunch and back to the house when the heat sets in.
- Evening
Low rhythm
Dinner in town or something simple in the kitchenette, and a quiet garden.
